The Stake Primary Presidency coordinated its own project to allow all children to be able to participate in serving—they launched a card-writing campaign to support US Troops overseas via partnering with Homefront Hugs.  During the sharing time exercises the Sunday before the Day of Service, over 300 children and their leaders made loving cards, pouring out their love and gratitude to the men and women who protect our freedom overseas.

DS Volunteers and other Volunteers made repairs to the exterior of one (1) qualifying single family homes that have been identified to receive refurbishments such as painting, etc., in an effort to make the homes of the elderly, disabled, low income and families with children a safe and habitable environment.

Activity/responsibility:

Rebuilding Together of the Palm Beaches staff, LDS Volunteers and other Volunteers will make repairs to the exterior of two (2) qualifying single family homes that have been identified to receive painting. etc., in an effort to make the homes of the elderly, disabled, low income and families with children a safe and habitable environment.

Tools or skills required:

Rebuilding Together of the Palm Beaches will be providing the paint and some rollers and brushes

Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own gloves, rollers, brushes, ladders, power washers, paint sprayers and other tools to do painting and minor repairs and general cleanup

Training on how to paint will be provided on site

Ages:

15 years or older Calling all high school students: Help out, and you can earn Community Service Hours!!!

Omar Roosebelth will be in charge of taking and providing pictures and short videos (about 90 seconds or less) of the various projects and for forwarding the LDS NDOS Art and Photography Agreements

Lunch and refreshments will be provided for the volunteers

Transportation:
Omar Roosebelth will coordinate the car polling and other transportation for the volunteers
