For the month prior to the Day of Service, cell phones and items were collected for snack kits to be donated to the Harbor House Service who helps victims of domestic violence.  The snack kits are given to families the first night they are in the emergency shelter for comfort.  The cell phones are converted in to 911 phones and given to those at risk.  The volunteers met at The Winter Haven Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and assembled 175 snack kits which exceeded their original goal of 150.  Four cell phones were collected.

The volunteers were then able to fill 150 food orders.  The members of the Methodist Church were very surprised and pleased with our volunteer effort.
