Activity/responsibility:
Clean up and rebuild overgrown amphitheater area. Build and install benches and firepit.
Tools or skills required:
Gloves, shovels, schrub trimmers, rakes, and other landscaping tools. Hammers, saws, tape measures, and other carpentry tools.
Ages:
Appropriate for ages 18-30.
Additional Notes:
Old Highway 41 is closed due to road construction. From Barrett Parkway, turn east on Stilesboro Road. Entrance to park is on the right about a mile down the road.

Ellijay: Gilmer County Community Food Pantry Cleanup

Clean building, freezers, shelves, etc.. Move some more dirt from an eroding bank.

Cleaning items (buckets, scrub brushes, gloves.). Shovels and rakes.

City of Woodstock Spring Cleaning

Activity/responsibility:
Help the City of Woodstock do a little Spring Cleaning, with landscape work and a little painting. Remove and replace winter plants, refresh soil, and water in the 14 planters along Main Street. Scatter bales of pine straw in downtown areas. Plant assorted flowers in planter bed at corner of Mill and Wall Streets. Paint gazebo, stain decking, and plant, mulch, spread pinestraw in City Park. Paint picket fence around Community Center. Clear a trail between Dobbs Road and downtown.
Tools or skills required:
Rakes, shrub trimmers, hand shovels, gloves and other landscaping tools.
Ages:
Appropriate for entire family.
Additional Notes:
Continental breakfast from 8AM - 8:45AM + discount coupons to downtown merchants for participants.
