Activity/responsibility:

The Pilgrim Mill Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is partnering with Drug Free Forsyth Foundation, and Georgia Martial Arts Foundation and others to collect canned and packaged foods to donate to The Place of Forsyth County, Inc, a 501(c)3 subsidiary of United Way of Forsyth County. Please ask your neighbors, friends, and co-workers to join us in feeding Forsyth! We will be collecting until April 23rd and then April 24th, the goods will be delivered to The Place of Forsyth County, Inc. We will have flyers available on Sunday to take to your neighbors, friends and co-workers.

Starting this week there will be a box in the foyers of the church to place food items in.

Canned Tuna
One Can/Box Meals (Beef Stew, Chicken & Dumplings, etc.) in cans or boxes
Canned spaghetti sauce (no glass)
1 lb boxes of spaghetti noodles
Peanut Butter (no glass)
Jelly, any flavor (no glass)
Canned fruit, any variety
Shelf Milk (Borden, Parma lot) no refrigeration required
Boxed potatoes, any flavor
Canned carrots
Canned corn

McKendree Elementary School beautification

McKendree Elementary School

Activity/responsibility:

We will be cleaning up the grounds of a local elementary school, McKendree Elementary. They will put Mulch out on the playground and trail, plant flowers, pick up trash and restore the outdoor classroom which has been damaged by floods. They need the observation deck in the outdoor classroom rebuilt and possibly tiering a hill on the backside of the school.
