We had a canned food drive to benefit the Tri-State Food Bank.  There were 25 members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints that participated for a total of 75 man hours.  We collected several hundred cans of fruits and vegetables.

Activity/responsibility:

We will be going door to door in various parts of Henderson asking for canned food donations.  We will gather at the church building at 9:00 a.m. and collect food until noon.  The food we collect will then be picked up and used by the food bank.

Tools or skills required:

The only item you will need to bring are bags to hold and carry the food.  We’re suggesting the reuseable cloth bags.  Maps will be provided to the volunteers for their specific areas.
