Branch members volunteer on an individual basis to help the needs of their community.  Blood drives were organized by one Sister.  The former Branch President & Wife help weekly at the “Crisis Center” in one of the local Baptist church. One Sister has completed a photo index of the Union Cemetary. She has completed indexes for 14 other cemetaries in the Indian creek Township to the local Brehm Library for their Geneological Section.

The Branch is small so they did not do a large project.  The combined effort show they serve their community well.

The Director of the Mid-Town Alliance of Neighbors coordinated efforts of the volunteers who repairs home and cleared properties of debris and plant over growth. The targeted helping those with insufficient resources and physical abilities to help maintain their properties,

Scheduled Events

Revitalized neighborhoods, Mayfield

Name of Organization:

United Church efforts, all interested organizations, City leaders

Location and Time:

Start the day, 24 April, at city hall at 8 AM.

Activity/responsibility:

8 AM doughnut project leader assignment
Homes of elderly and widowed, painting and repairs.
Brown bag lunch brought to participants.
flower garden planting and cleaning.
finish day with a cookout in a local park.

Tools or skills required:

hand tools for painting, roofing, light repairs, gardening. 
Multiple projects will allow some skilled labor, some unskilled.

Ages:

12 and up in most circumstances.  Some food prep and distribution will allow for younger helpers.

Additional Notes:

Several different projects will be identified, and we will need project leaders at each sight. 
These will best be filled by skilled laborers.
