The Great American Cleanup is hosted each year by Keep Bossier Beautiful when they have a substantial volunteer group such as this year-Day of Service.
Three projects were done: Volunteers of America LightHouse Facility - classroom and exterior painted and fixed up; Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club facility exterior was painted; the home of a retired, disabled minister/senior citizen couple was painted.

Keep America Beautiful Great American Cleanup - Bossier City/Brownlee Ward - May 1st, 2010

Location and Time:
Kickoff Event is at 9:00 am at the LDS Church at 310 Wellington in Bossier City, 71111. Teams will be organized and assignments made. Grab & go breakfast is provided.
Activity/responsibility:
Light landscaping, interior & exterior painting, & neighborhood cleanup.
Tools or skills required:
Landscaping –Bring gloves, shovels, and trowels –we’ll provide the plants.
Painting –Bring brushes, rollers and extensions, masking tape, ladders, step ladders- we’ll provide the paint.
Trash cleanup – Bring gloves -we’ll provide trash bags and pickers.

Ages 12+ (project specific for safety reasons) pls contact us at www.dayofservice.org for additional info for younger children.
Additional Notes:
Please join us for a very brief Kickoff Grab & Go Breakfast from 8:45 -9:15. Project locations will be announced and teams organized.
We’ll finish off the day with a Cookout at 3:00 at 310 Wellington in Bossier City courtesy of Halliburton & the LDS Church – for all volunteers and their families.
Please bring your own sack lunch & WATER!
