Fuller Center helps families obtain affordable new homes - we cleaned and prepared flooring 2 homes and also painted the exterior of those 2 homes - working alongside the new owners.

Kickoff event is at 7:00 am at the LDS Church 200 Carroll Street in Shreveport, LA 71105.
Activity/responsibility:
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Shreveport 2nd Ward) will work with local grocery stores to collect specific donations to fill 5 gallon buckets for on-going food distribution in partnership with Omni Specialty Packaging.
Specific food items will be collected via cooperation with local grocery stores – booths will be set up outside of stores on May 1st and patrons will have the opportunity to purchase specific food items according to a predetermined list. Volunteers will assemble the collections as required for shipping & distribution & will deliver them to the shipper.
Tools or skills required:
Volunteers will work at the booths, talking with patrons about the project, helping with the assembly process, and transporting to the shipper. No special skills required. All are welcome to help!

A sack lunch will be provided.

The service project will take place in the Allendale neighborhood in North Shreveport LA.
Maps & directions will be distributed at the Kickoff. Construction starts at 8:00 a.m.

Activity/responsibility:
Build & repair houses for the impoverished, some landscaping may also be included.
Tools or skills required:
Any building or painting experience would be helpful but there will be something to do for all skill levels.
Ages:
12 & up – due to safety requirements those under 18 will be doing non-building tasks, such a painting, cleaning, and landscaping
Additional Notes:
A sack lunch will be provided.
