All of the volunteers performed/worked exceptionally well.  Some volunteers decorated bulletin boards beautifully.  A group played board games, bingo, etc., with several of the residents.  We had excellent musical performances going on throughout a two-hour period in two locations at the Stratford including the main dining area and the gathering area of the Alzheimer’s section.  Our performances included group singing, duets, children playing the violin and the piano and chimes, trombone playing, and a selection of classical piano music.  In advance of our service, two families paid to have the piano in the Alzheimer’s unit tuned.  Cost of the materials for the bulletin boards was also covered by the volunteers.
