We are partnering with the City of Roxboro Beautification Committee to put together flower pots with soil and flowers and then deliver them to Main Street and set them out on the sidewalks. We will also be weeding, tilling and planting several flower beds that the city has in different areas. There are other possible projects within this that have yet to be finalized. Possibilities are cleaning and planting the entrance areas into Roxboro and a litter and brush sweep in an entrance area into Roxboro. Most of that we have left over from a prior project. Ages for this will be from 12 - 75. We have few youth, but the younger ones will work this project. 6-8 people will be working here. More if more projects come to fruition.
Tools or skills required:
Right now, it is planned that all the tools will be furnished by the Roxboro Beautificaiton Committee as well as the flowers. We will be bringing a small tiller, some bed trowels and rakes. If the litter/brush sweep is also needed, we will be using some weed eaters, trash bags, etc.
Ages:
12 - 75 (the younger youth from the Roxboro Branch will work this project)
