Our goal was to help prepare our communities for tornadoes and other disasters (personal and natural).  Much of what we had planned was cancelled due to threatening weather.  Tornadoes were predicted and most of our event was cancelled as a result.  We will follow through with what we can later this year as our schedule permits.  However, we were able to hold 3 separate blood drives and gathered 107 pints of blood, 200 pairs of shoes, made 35 hygiene kits and 35 comfort kits, 10 blankets made and donated boxes of food. Those that benefited were The Red Cross, The Rutherford County Women’s Shelter, The Rutherford County Food Bank, Rutherford County EMS and Souls4Souls (Haiti relief),  We also re-sided a house of a single woman a few days later after the storms had cleared.
